What Is an AquaBasin?

An Aquascape AquaBasin is an in-ground water reservoir designed to sit beneath decorative water features. It holds and recirculates water while keeping the pump, plumbing, and other components hidden from view.

AquaBasins are made from UV-protected, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and are engineered for strength when buried in the ground. Their durable construction allows them to withstand freeze-thaw conditions, making them a great choice for climates with cold winters.
Two sizes are available: AquaBasin 30 and AquaBasin 45, with the right size depending on the water feature being installed.
AquaBasins also feature a fountain weight capacity of up to 1,500 pounds, thanks to their reinforced internal structure.

Hide Your Plumbing and Wiring
One of the biggest advantages of an AquaBasin is its convenient top deck. Fountains can be positioned and leveled directly on the deck, while plumbing and lighting cables can be routed through the structural openings and kept hidden below the surface.
The center cylinder comes pre-drilled for single-fountain installations, such as bubbling urns and spheres. Additional holes can be drilled when needed for multiple fountains, lighting, or custom plumbing configurations.
Easy Pump Access
Even though the AquaBasin is buried beneath gravel and decorative stone, pump maintenance is still easy. A large pump-access opening is located in one corner of the basin and includes a built-in handle for easy removal.
The access design helps keep gravel out of the basin when the panel is removed, making routine pump maintenance much simpler.
