Art in The Garden - Reconnect with Nature in this Family Fun Event
York, PA – Wednesday July 17, 2013 - A one of a kind ‘Experience’ is about to hit York County! On Saturday July 27, 2013 from 10:00am to 5:00pm, over a dozen local business and community partners will be joining together to bring you “The Pond Experience”. The tour was developed by local designer Mark Willoughby, owner of Splash Supply Co, as a way to reconnect the York community together and interact with nature in playful and serene backyards all over the local area.
The self-guided, curated tour will include nine of the most stunning eco-friendly aquatic gardens & koi ponds located in and around central York County. At each of the stops on the tour, guests will be treated to tasty samples of culinary specialties served by local food businesses as well as beautiful music played by local musicians. Local businesses* include: Red Brick Bakery, Moondancer Winery, Jeff’s Subs, Aloha Snow, Anstine’s Candy, Lincolnway Flower Shop, Legend’s Catering, Market Street Deli, Jim & Nena’s Pizza, and Prudhommes Lost Cajun Kitchen. Musicians* include: Bill Anderson and His Invisible Band, Jefrey Woodall, Tom and Laurie Reese, Ric Emery, Pipes and Drums of the Susquehanna Valley, Paul Zavinski, Rich D.
and the Dean, and Soji.
As an added highlight of the day, PA Art Experience member artists will be creating works of art which will be featured in an exhibition and sale at the PAE Gallery in downtown York in September. While most artists will be painting or drawing, others artistic mediums will also be on display. Guests will be able to watch as these works come alive right before their eyes. As a member of the PA Alliance of Artisan Trails, the PA Art Experience has helped energize downtown York with its ever changing array of exhibits featuring works by outstanding area artists.
The York County Food Bank will also benefit from the donation of canned items collected during the tour. For each canned item donated, individuals will receive a raffle ticket for entry in various drawings, including a beautiful fountain valued at six hundred dollars.

Tickets for the tour are $12.00, children age ten and under are free. (Prior to July 19 tickets are $10.00) with ticket proceeds going to the Pennsylvania Arts Experience. Tickets can be purchased at any of the local business partners including Splash
Supply Company, and at the Pennsylvania Arts Experience, 37 W Philadelphia St in downtown York.

There will be a Guided Chauffeured Tour Option for those wishing to be pampered. Chauffeured Tour Tickets are available for $50. Please RSVP and purchase your chauffeured ticket at Splash Supply Company prior to July 26.

About Splash Supply Co, Inc.
For 24 years, we have been highly specialized in designing and creating award winning eco-friendly landscape designs across the
country and around the world, installing low maintenance hardscapes and water features. Splash Supply Co Inc. was established to
assist the Professional Pond Builder and DIY Hobbyist. Our projects are focused on naturalistic water features like streams, waterfalls, and Ecosystem Ponds and Pondless© Waterfalls, and/or hardscape elements, such as paver patios, retaining walls, and driveways.
We've been recognized as one of the best in the business - and we continue to expand our capabilities each year. While the majority of our projects keep us close to home in South Central PA, we are proud to have built waterfalls as far as Ireland, Mexico, and many
places in between like EPCOT Center, the Omaha Zoo, and a state of the art koi pond for Dr. Erik Johnson in Georgia. Our work has also been featured in the national makeover show Junk'd TV. In addition to this international experience, our work on a project in Hanover, PA was featured in the national magazine Water Shapes. We have been a key partner with Pennsylvania Dept of Conservation and Natural Resources in designing and installing display gardens showcasing native plants and conservation techniques for backyard habitats.
Our founder, Mark Willoughby studied landscape architecture at WVU and is a frequent media expert and featured speaker at
seminars and garden shows for contractors and homeowners alike. He has been a Penn State Master Gardener and is a founding
member of Mid-Atlantic Ecological Landscapes [MAEScapes] project.
We are committed to help you Relax and Reconnect with Nature through Creative Design of outdoor living spaces.
